Steel Solutions in Plumbing and Piping

Galvanized steel pipes are probably the most traditional plumbing pipe used due to their extensive duration and reliability. They provide superior corrosion resistance, great material to be used for hot and cold water, and it can be managed easily.

Plumbing systems bring water into a facility and provide safe drainage for water and wastewater as it exits a facility.

Although there are many options for underground water pipes, galvanized steel pipes are generally the best choices for an underground water line. These durable pipes are coated to reduce corrosion and rusting, ideal for running an underground water line.

Insteel Limited uses a high frequency induction welding technique to form a strong continuous seam joint for pipes. The formed pipe passes through an external bead scarfing and sizing process to bring its dimensions within specified tolerances. The pipes are then cut to desired lengths.

The cut pipes are end faced, straightened, and hydro-tested. Each pipe is subjected to a specified pressure at the hydro-tester to ensure that welding is strong and free from leakage.

Process piping moves chemicals, gases, water, and other fluids in support of an internal manufacturing or processing operation.
